Before Dartmouth: Tyrone was a three-year letterwinner in track and field. His 4x200m relay team placed 9th in the LHSAA Track and Field Championships his junior year, and he placed 7th in the LHSAA Championships in the 100m dash his senior year. Tyrone received All-District Honors his junior year.
Tyrone also letterd in football and soccer won the Tri-Athlete Award both junior and senior year. He was also the president of the Upper School Student Senate, received the Golden Eagle Acedemic Award and the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, and was a senior member of the Assets Task Force.
At Dartmouth Tyrone plans on studying biology and music and hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
Tyrone DeSpenza is the son of Tyrone DeSpenza and Severina Nicholl-DeSpenza and has 2 sisters.
